General Introduction
Barton Quarter will be a major new place for business, to live and to enjoy. It will include offices, apartments and town houses, shops, cafes/bars/restaurants and a health and fitness centre and/or crèche facility.

Our planning application for the development was submitted in September 2007.

Our proposals have been prepared over the last two years.  Our aim is to harness the potential of the site; close to Beeston town centre and Castle College and on a major route between the motorway and Nottingham city centre.  The Nottingham Express Transit proposed extension will run past the site in 2013. We want to transform what is largely an underused and increasingly obsolescent site into an exciting new mixed use urban quarter.

The layout and design has been carefully conceived, with buildings grouped around two new urban spaces – a square and a major new landscaped green. Our proposals provide the framework for high quality buildings and we will encourage sustainable design – by conserving and generating energy on site, reducing the need to travel and reducing water consumption.
